The Revenge of CT 90's Rock & Metal! \m/

September 16, 2017, 7:30pm - September 17, 2017, 12:00am

PLEASE NOTE: DOORS AT 7:30 PM. MUSIC WILL START AT 8:00 PM AND IT WILL BE DONE BY MIDNIGHT (at the latest) Cash bar! Please BRING ID if you want to drink during the show. It would've been impossible to get all of the old bands back together for one show, so we have the following on tap: 8:00 - 8:45: The Gathering(!) - Special one-time Acoustic performance featuring Ron Vanacore and Dan Weeden! 9:00 - 9:45: Khasm (www.facebook.com/khasmband/) - the original CT theatrical gothic metal band. Join the kult! 10:00 - 10:45: Safe Haven (www.facebook.com/SafeHavenCTMetal/) 11:00 - 11:45: Future Shock (www.facebook.com/futureshockbandct/) - pseudo thrashy/post-punk/conspiracy metal. Now with 100% more sarcasm & cynicism! The price: only $10 at the door. However, tickets are available in advance online (at the same price) through the Eventbrite link. Ah....the 90s...a time when "Metal" was a dirty word . Many of you may recall that a lot of Metal bands stopped identifying themselves as such. For those who can't remember what went on during that decade, this probably sounds ridiculous given the current era's Metal advocates, and pop stars who sport Iron Maiden and Metallica t-shirts. That said, the direction of the music didn't change for many of the metal bands at the time, the spirit was still there. While there are many, many bands we could have considered for this show, we didn't know about some of them. Quite a few we contacted weren't in a position to play, or in some cases aren't speaking to each other. To that end, we have assembled four CT bands who got their start during that decade to take the stage for one huge show. We probably don't need to say that this will not happen again, so we hope everyone who can make it out, will.
